Online Nutrition Coach

Bespoke Nutrition Plans from a Certified Nutritionist & Personal Trainer

I'm Andy, and I’m one of the few online coaches in the UK who holds both an MNU Certified Nutritionist qualification (MN.Nutr) and a professional personal training certification. That means I understand exactly how training and nutrition work together — and I coach both, giving you a truly holistic approach to your results.

My background as an Army Physical Training Instructor with the Royal Welsh Infantry gave me a no-nonsense, results-first approach to health and fitness that I bring to every client I work with. That military foundation, combined with my MNU certification, shapes everything I do. Learn more about my background and qualifications.

Over more than a decade of coaching, I've worked one-to-one with hundreds of people across all fitness levels, goals, and lifestyles. That experience means I know what works in the real world, not just in theory.

No two clients are the same, so no two plans are the same. Every nutrition plan I create is built entirely from scratch around your individual goals, your lifestyle, and what will genuinely work for you long-term — not a template, not a generic set of macros, but a plan that fits your life.

Who Do I Work With?

Nutrition coaching isn't one-size-fits-all, and neither are the people I work with. Whether you're chasing a specific goal or simply want to take control of what you eat, I build a plan that fits your life. I work with people with various lifestyles, professions, and fitness goals.

Nutrition coaching for weight loss

If you've tried diets before and ended up back where you started, the problem usually isn't willpower — it's that the plan wasn't built around you. I work with clients who want to lose body fat sustainably, without constant restriction or second-guessing every meal. Using an evidence-based approach grounded in my MNU Certified Nutritionist training, I'll give you a clear calorie and macro framework, the knowledge to understand it, and the ongoing support to stick to it.

Nutrition coaching for busy professionals

If your schedule makes consistent eating difficult, a rigid meal plan won't last a week. I work with a lot of clients who are juggling demanding jobs, families, and everything else life throws at them — and I build nutrition frameworks that fit around all of it. Flexible, practical, and sustainable: the goal is a way of eating that works in the real world, not just on paper.

Nutrition coaching for muscle building and body composition

Building muscle isn't just about lifting heavy — it's about fuelling the process correctly. I work with clients who want to improve their body composition, whether that means adding lean muscle, reducing body fat, or both. Every plan I create includes clear daily targets, food priorities, and the reasoning behind every recommendation, so you understand exactly what you're doing and why it works.

Nutrition coaching for athletes and performance

What you eat directly affects how you train, how you recover, and how you perform — and generic advice rarely cuts it when you're training seriously. Drawing on my background as an Army Physical Training Instructor and my MNU Certified Nutritionist qualification, I build nutrition strategies specifically around your training demands, your sport, and your performance goals. Whether you're competing, building strength, or pushing your fitness to the next level, I'll make sure your nutrition is working as hard as you are.

Your Personal Trainer Nutritionist

Let's create your bespoke nutrition plan!

What Is a Nutrition Coach?

As a nutrition coach, I work with you one-to-one to build a personalised approach to eating that supports your specific goals — whether that's losing body fat, building muscle, or improving your performance. Unlike a one-off meal plan, nutrition coaching is an ongoing process. Your plan adapts as your life and progress change, and I'm there guiding and supporting you every step of the way.

I'm not a replacement for a registered dietitian or doctor, and I'll always be clear about that. What I offer is evidence-based coaching grounded in my MNU Certified Nutritionist (MN.Nutr) qualification — practical, personalised support that helps you understand your nutrition and build habits that genuinely last.

How Does Nutrition Coaching Work?

I start with a deep analysis of your current lifestyle, goals, and dietary habits to build a completely bespoke nutrition plan — your calories, macros, food priorities, and meal plan, all created specifically for you. Once your plan is ready, I'll record a personal welcome video walking you through everything in detail so you hit the ground running with complete clarity.

From there, you'll stay on track with weekly check-ins, weekly video feedback, and unlimited support via the Expert PT app. I'm there with you throughout — not just at the start.

Detailed Step-by-Step Process:

Step 1 — Onboarding Questionnaire

As soon as you sign up, I'll send you a detailed onboarding questionnaire. This covers your goals, lifestyle, dietary preferences, training history, and anything else I need to know to build your plan. The more detail you give me here, the more precisely I can tailor everything to you.

Step 2 — Bespoke Nutrition Plan

Using your questionnaire, I build your plan entirely from scratch — your daily calorie targets, macros, food priorities, and a meal plan designed around your lifestyle and goals. Every plan I create is built specifically for the person in front of me.

Step 3 — Personal Welcome Video

Once your plan is ready, I record a personal welcome video walking you through everything — what your numbers mean, why I've made the choices I have, and exactly what you need to do to start getting results. This video typically runs between 20 and 60 minutes depending on your plan, and it means you hit the ground running with complete clarity from day one.

Step 4 — Weekly Check-ins

Every week you'll complete a check-in covering your scale weight, energy levels, hunger, recovery, steps, water intake, and anything else relevant to your progress. This gives me a full picture of how your week has gone — not just the numbers, but how you're actually feeling — so I can make the right adjustments.

Step 5 — Weekly Video Feedback

Based on your check-in, I record a personal video response each week highlighting what's going well, what we need to work on, and what changes I'm making to your plan going forward. This is one of the things my clients value most — it's direct, specific feedback from me every single week.

Step 6 — Unlimited Support via the App

Between check-ins, you can message me directly through the Expert PT app at any time. We'll stay in regular contact through text and voice messages throughout the week.

Step 7 — Phone and Video Calls When Needed

If a call would help — to work through a specific challenge, answer a question in detail, or just check in — we'll book one. Calls aren't set in the schedule or made obligatory because, for most things, the app keeps everything ticking along nicely. But when a conversation is the right tool, it's always available.

Nutrition Coaching FAQ

+ How is nutrition coaching different from just getting a meal plan?

A meal plan tells you what to eat. Nutrition coaching teaches you how and why — and keeps you accountable week by week as your life and progress change. When you work with me, your plan isn't a static document you follow alone. I'm reviewing your check-ins every week, adjusting your calories and macros as you progress, and sending you personal video feedback to keep everything on track. A meal plan stops working the moment your circumstances change. Coaching adapts with you.

+ What qualifications do you hold as a nutrition coach?

I hold an MNU Certified Nutritionist qualification (MN.Nutr), which is widely regarded as one of the most rigorous and evidence-based nutrition certifications available — built on current nutritional science and peer-reviewed research. I'm also a qualified personal trainer certified through the All Arms Physical Training Instructor (AAPTI) programme, having completed my course at the Army School of Physical Training. This dual background means I understand how training and nutrition work together, not just in isolation.

+ How does the weekly check-in work?

Every Sunday I'll send you a check-in form covering everything beyond what diet and training tracking alone can tell me — your scale weight, energy levels, hunger, recovery, steps, water intake, and how the week felt overall. Using that information alongside your nutrition tracking, I'll record a personal video response highlighting what's going well, what we need to adjust, and exactly what's changing going into the following week. It's thorough, it's personal, and it's one of the most valuable parts of the coaching process.

+ Can I do nutrition coaching without personal training?

Yes, absolutely. The Premium Nutrition Package is designed specifically for people who want to work with a certified nutritionist without adding a training programme. You'll get everything included in the nutrition side of my Signature Package — bespoke nutrition plan, welcome video, weekly check-ins, weekly video feedback, and unlimited support — just without the training programming. If you decide later you'd like training added, you can upgrade to the Signature Package at any time.

+ What's the difference between a nutrition coach and a dietitian?

A registered dietitian is a regulated healthcare professional qualified to assess and treat medical conditions through nutrition. If you have a diagnosed medical condition affecting your diet, a dietitian is the right person to see. A nutrition coach works with generally healthy people looking to improve their body composition, performance, or relationship with food. I'll always be clear about that distinction — and if something is outside my scope, I'll tell you.

+ What qualifications should I look for in a nutrition coach?

This varies significantly. Many coaches operate with a Level 4 nutrition certificate, which is a short course covering the basics. The MNU Certified Nutritionist qualification I hold is a considerably more in-depth certification, built on peer-reviewed nutritional science rather than simplified dietary guidelines. When choosing a nutrition coach, it's worth asking what their qualification involved — not just what it's called.

+ How long before I start seeing results?

This depends on your goal, your starting point, and how consistently you follow the plan. Most clients notice meaningful changes within the first four to six weeks — improved energy, better understanding of their nutrition, and early progress towards their body composition goals. Significant physical changes typically take longer, and I'll always be honest about realistic timescales rather than promising overnight results. What I can tell you is that with weekly adjustments and consistent check-ins, we're never leaving progress to chance.

+ Is there a minimum commitment?

After the first month, the subscription can be cancelled at any time — there's no contract tying you in. That said, nutrition coaching works best when you give it enough time to work. Real, sustainable changes to body composition rarely happen in four weeks. Most clients see the best results over three months or more, which is why I focus on building habits that last well beyond our time working together.

+ Do I need to track my food?

Yes, at least initially. Tracking your calories and macros — even roughly — is the most reliable way to understand what you're actually eating and make meaningful progress. I'll explain exactly how to track, what app to use, and how to make it as straightforward as possible. Over time, as you build awareness of your nutrition, tracking typically becomes quicker and less demanding.

+ Do you work with people outside the UK?

Yes. While most of my clients are based in the UK, I work with people all over the world. Everything is done online through the Expert PT app, so location is no barrier at all.

+ Can I schedule a call if I need one?

Absolutely. Calls are available whenever needed — they're just not set in the schedule or made obligatory, because for most things the app keeps everything ticking along nicely. If a call would help at any point, we'll book one in.
